Our first edition marks an exciting beginning: a creative bridge between Australia and Germany, with the support of esteemed academic and cultural partners. In the coming years, we will expand this dialogue to include even more countries-beginning with Japan and the United States-turning FAT.X into a truly international platform for fashion diplomacy and collaboration.

At the core of FAT.Xs mission is its partnership with NEO.FASHION, Germany’s leading platform for emerging fashion talent. This collaboration has created a powerful bridge between Australia and Europe’s dynamic fashion scenes.

Brisbane Showcase: FAT.X will host a high-profile fashion show (FAT.X : BNE-BER) in Brisbane featuring NEO.FASHION's award-winning designers, bringing Europe’s most exciting fashion talents to Australian audiences.

Berlin Exchange: FAT.X will select through a nationwide fashion competition five of Australia’s most promising fashion graduates to present their collections at NEO.FASHION’s runway in Berlin July 2026, offering them unprecedented exposure to the international fashion industry. ​
This dual showcase not only positions Brisbane as a hub for global fashion exchange but also shines a spotlight on Australia's emerging designers, placing them on an international stage.
Looking ahead, FAT.X envisions expanding its global footprint through strategic partnerships in Singapore, Japan, and the USA, cementing its role as a key incubator for young fashion talent and a cultural ambassador for Australian design.

Neo.Fashion. is Germany’s leading platform for emerging fashion talent, offering a stage for fashion graduates, young designers, and aspiring labels to showcase their creativity and connect with the industry.
Founded in 2016 by Jens Zander, a Berlin-based creative entrepreneur and managing director of the agency S49, Neo.Fashion. was born from a conversation with a student at HTW Berlin. What began as a graduate show quickly evolved into a nationally recognized platform that now plays an integral role in Berlin Fashion Week.
With a clear mission to support and empower the next generation of designers, Neo.Fashion. serves as a bridge between fashion education and the professional world. It enables young creatives to gain visibility, industry experience, and valuable connections that can shape their careers.
The platform hosts a variety of formats, including Graduate Shows, the Aspiring Designers Program for alumni and young labels, a curated showroom, and the prestigious Neo.Fashion. Award—celebrating excellence in design, innovation, and sustainability.

It brings together over 10 fashion universities from across Germany and regularly works with international partners, such as Ukrainian Fashion Week and cultural institutions from Ethiopia and beyond.

Rooted in Brisbane, FAT.X will grow into an annual showcase of emerging talent, starting in 2025 with a partnership between FAT.X and NEO.Fashion. In future editions, the platform will expand to welcome designers from countries such as Japan, China and the United States, forming a truly global stage for new voices in fashion.
This vision celebrates fashion not only as an artistic and cultural medium, but also as a space for innovation - where ideas are exchanged across borders and where creativity is informed by thoughtful approaches to sustainability, ethical practice, and the smart use of technology.
